Research

Researchers affiliated with the IGHERT Program engage in research that animates Indigineity in an Expanded Field. At sites around the world, graduate students and faculty collect stories, observe culture, explore archives, interpret text, and build exhibits. Considering these research projects in a collective and integrative way takes up the contemporary challenges related to Indigineity and pushes the field forward in new ways. Graduate student projects exemplify the goals of this approach.

The IGHERT Program is also a pilot study in Graduate Training. As a cohort, we practice collaborative modes of training, using online tools to bring together students and mentors and offering interdisciplinary approaches to testing graduate training.
